Buddy Classloading Support
I just wanted to verify that setting Eclipse-BuddyPolicy to 'global' in the
manifest works correctly in Karaf. I'm working on a project that uses this
in a number of places (even though from what I understand, it's
discouraged). The service is running as expected in an equinox container,
but giving me issues in a Karaf container.
Thanks!

I've determined that the issue isn't related to Karaf because I've
successfully used buddy classloading in a different project I'm working on.
Thanks for the responses!

No that should be sufficient,
any other bundle you might be using to have buddyPolicy enabled?
Like an extender bundle?
Or do you need an extra flag to enable this?
I never used Buddy-Classloading before (actually just heard of it with this
thread)

In config.properties I had set /karaf.framework=equinox/ and
/karaf.framework.equinox=mvn\:org.eclipse.birt.runtime/org.eclipse.osgi/3.10.2.v20150203-1939/.
Is there something else I'm missing? Also, I'm using karaf 4.0.5.

Hi,
did you use Karaf with the equinox framework? Per default Karaf uses Apache
Felix as framework.
