Here is an overview of the issue:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: MPECLIPSE-39
Summary: Path issues on OS X
Type: Bug
Status: Unassigned
Priority: Major
Original Estimate: Unknown
Time Spent: Unknown
Remaining: Unknown
Project: maven-eclipse-plugin
Assignee:
Reporter: Timothy Reaves
Created: Sun, 22 Aug 2004 12:14 AM
Updated: Sun, 22 Aug 2004 12:14 AM
Environment: Apple OS X, Eclipse 3.0, maven-ide from Update site.
Description:
With a default install, I received and error that I searched on; the result was a recommendation to set JAVA_HOME in the maven properties within Eclipse.
So I set JAVA_HOME in the Maven Eclipse settings - along with MAVEN_HOME, which on a Mac is /Library/Java/Home/. Now, when I run a Maven goal, I get the following:
File or url '/Library/Java/Versions/CurrentJDK/Classes/classes.jar' could not be found
java.net.MalformedURLException: no protocol: /Library/Java/Versions/CurrentJDK/Classes/classes.jar
at java.net.URL.<init>(URL.java:537)

Maven works perfectly fine from a command line.
