Hi,

...

5. Other issues

Looks like 3.2.1 is ready to ship.

Anything else needed to be resolved for the release?
AI Michael run RAT and fix any issues.

I could successfully run Apache Rat to verify licensing of the sources - looks good.

Regards Michael

Need a volunteer for the release. Thanks, Til.
AI Tilmann prepare the 3.2.1 release.

We should consider dropping Java 8 support in order to support latest versions of some dependencies (e.g. Derby).
"In 2021 72% of programmers still regularly use Java 8 for their projects."

AI Tobias file a JIRA.

Minutes: JDO TCK Conference Call Wednesday May 4 12 PM PDT 21 CEST

Posted by Craig Russell <ap...@gmail.com>.
Attendees: Michael Bouschen, Tilmann Zäschke, Tobias Bouschen, Craig Russell

Next meeting: Wednesday May 11 1200 PDT 2100 CEDT

Agenda:

1. PR #1 "JDO-806: Use apache URL for schemaLocation of JDO XSDs and DTDs" https://github.com/clr-apache/jdo-specification/pull/1: Spec changes see branch JDO-806-spec
  JDO-806: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JDO-806

Looks good. Squash and merge for specification complete.
Note that the quote marks in the specification have been changed from "OpenOffice style" to "Coding style" for the affected sections of the specification so they can be directly copied and pasted into code.

2. PR #41 "Java 18 compatibility" https://github.com/apache/db-jdo/pull/41
  JDO-808 "Java 18" https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JDO-808

Done and done.

3. JIRA JDO-805 "Consolidate download pages" https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JDO-805
Extend closer.lua to act as a download page, see email from Craig
   New PR #45 https://github.com/apache/db-jdo-site/pull/45

Looks good. Make sure no links to other downloads and pages can be removed. Note that even archived releases can be found by closer.lua.

4. JDK 19 pre-release builds ok.

With PR#14 JDK 19 early access can be used to build. This will need to be done individually until GitHub supports it as a setup-java action.
