[jira] Commented: (CODEC-82) OSGI manifest information is not generated during the ant build

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CODEC-82?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=12774663#action_12774663 ]

Mat Booth commented on CODEC-82:
--------------------------------

We are able to build codec with maven now in Fedora, so I'm no longer terribly concerned about this. I know maven is the preferred build environment in commons these days, so please close this ticket if you think it's unlikely that this will ever be implemented in the ant build.

> In Fedora Linux, we have a requirement to build an OSGI-ified commons-codec from source using ant because the required components of maven are not yet in Fedora.
> OSGI manifest information apparently gets generated with the maven build but not with the ant build. As a workaround, we currently just patch the manifest file.
