running on intel redhat 6.1 Sun/Insprise J2SE v 1.2.2

not exactly a giant leap forward in the field of computer science, but
just so you guys get the bragging rights. i am successfully running a
tomcat/apache1.3.9 system on a pIII 500 running linux (redhat 6.1) using
the sun/Insprise J2SE 1.2.2 (jdk 1.2.2). i also have run it
successfully with IBM's 1.1.8 jdk but interestingly i was unable to get
blackdown.org's jdk1.2 to run. i didn't fiddle with it much so i can't
say if there is a way to hack it. also when i downloaded the tomcat rpm
and installed it there was no XML java library included in the
distribution. i had to download the windows version and use the jar
that was supplied with that. take care
