[jira] [Commented] (IVY-1447) Add retrieve task 'overwriteMode' option to commandline

Matthew Wilson commented on IVY-1447:
-------------------------------------

Another way to implement this might be to provide "ivy.retrieve.overwritemode" as a ivysettings.xml property.

> Add retrieve task 'overwriteMode' option to commandline

> Key: IVY-1447
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/IVY-1447
> Project: Ivy

> Right now, the default overwriteMode during retrieve is 'newer'.
> This is causing problems for us now (incorrect artifacts being loaded).
> Since we don't use ant, but commandline access to Ivy, there's no way for us to fix this issue.
> It would be great to either:
> - add a commandline option to manage overwriteMode
> - add overwriteMode to ivysettings.xml, so it can be overridden there
