[jira] [Created] (NIFI-7528) Cannot group selected components if
current Process Group has Parameter Context set
Mark Payne created NIFI-7528:
--------------------------------
Summary: Cannot group selected components if current Process Group has Parameter Context set
Key: NIFI-7528
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NIFI-7528
Project: Apache NiFi
Issue Type: Bug
Components: Core Framework
Reporter: Mark Payne
Assignee: Mark Payne
The Operate panel has a button to create a new Process Group and move into that Process Group any selected components. If a user selects several components and clicks that button, the new Process Group will be created. However, no Parameter Context is set on that newly created group. Because of this, when it attempts to move the selected components into the group, it fails with an error indicating that the components cannot be moved since the child doesn't have the same Parameter Context selected.
When grouping components into a new Process Group, that newly created Process Group should be assigned the same Parameter Context as the current Process Group.
