[VOTE] Release of Apache Directory Server 2.0.0-M2 and Shared/Ldap
API 1.0.0-M7
Hi,
This is a vote for the second milestone of the 2.0 Apache Directory
Server, with its companion LDAP API/Shared 1.0.0-M7.
The LDAP API/Shared release contains just some constants modifications
done because we needed them for the server. We could have spared a
release for it, sadly this modification forces us to get this release done.
ADS-2.0.0-M2 though is way more important. It contains some urgent fixes
for the Kerberos server, and the first drop of some replication has been
injected into it.
Fixed issues :
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DIRSERVER-1633 : Startup failure
after first startup <https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DIRSERVER-1633>
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DIRSERVER-1636 : Obtaining
Kerberos tickets via TCP leads to endless loop
<https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DIRSERVER-1636>
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DIRSERVER-1631 : Kerberos server
fails to grant ticket due to treating PaData value as mandatory
<https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DIRSERVER-1631>
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DIRSERVER-1635 :Exception when
obtaining service ticket and aes256-cts-hmac-sha1-96 encryption is used
<https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DIRSERVER-1635>
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DIRSERVER-1621 : No controls are
loaded when the server is started from the apacheds.sh script
<https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DIRSERVER-1621>

I really like the pace we're going with these milestone releases.

Hmmm, my bad. Copy/pasted the previous mail, forgot to change one ref to M7

Nope, it's a different thread, but it's likely that your UI attach it to
the provious thread (again, copy/pasted the mail)

My bad : I did a s/M7/M8 in vi, but I forgot the final 'g'. Fixed/

Agreed. No more copy/paste :/

Probably a typo.

I had the same thing. It had a strange "Re:" text in the subject.

Same thing, I guess, probably a typo on the web page... :(
Hopefully the links point to correct "-M8" files.

Hi
Sorry, but to me this vote looks quite messy:
- We talking about the 8th milstone (as mentioned also in the subject),
but in mail text you're talking about 1.0.0-M7
- The (new ?) vote is started in the mail thread of "[VOTE] Release of
Apache Directory Server 2.0.0-M2 and Shared/Ldap API 1.0.0-M7". Maybe
this is valid only for me because of the mail problems I've had during
the weekend.
- The distribution packages page () titles "Last Directory LDAP API
1.0.0-M8 tarballs", but all files are named "*-M7*". This might be a
caching problem - when downloading them I get a file "*-M8*" ...
I suggest to start for each new vote a new mail thread in future.
Supposing it's only a caching problem
[X] +1 Release Shared/LDAP API 1.0.0-M8
