As reported by Moatasim Al Masri at OFBIZ-9209, in the main page of the humanres component, you cannot change the active company but in Flat Grey theme.

The dropdown which shows in Flat Grey does not appear at all in Raibow themes.

And this is what you get when clicking on the "- Your Company Name Here" (or alike) link (not a dropdown) on top of screen in other themes (BLue and Tomahawk)

The name was interpreted by this TemplateLoader: MultiTemplateLoader(loader1 = org.apache.ofbiz.base.util.template.FreeMarkerWorker$FlexibleTemplateLoader@402d7086, loader2 = StringTemplateLoader(Map { })). 

I have not checked R16 and later yet, I guess it's the same.
