We're currently having issues with updating the project websites, which we
need before we can officially announce the release on the mailing list.
It's being tracked under INFRA-23404

Yes. You can expect an announcement soon.
When a new release is built and the VOTE passes, the person who has
volunteered as Release Manager will wait for a while before publishing
the announcement, so that the new release has had time to propagate to
most of the mirror network.

Hello, I see 8.11.2 is on the mirrors and in maven central, but there's not
yet been a release announcement on https://solr.apache.org/news.html etc.
Is that coming?
