   My view is that this must be a common tomcat problem and should be solved
   in the tomcat container. However, what they have done doesn't seem to work
   for us. I haven't had a chance to look at why not since I thought that was
   exactly what they were trying to achieve. I don't need this functionality
   right now, so my selfish view would have been to leave it until it is
   sorted upstream. But I know that won't work for everyone.
   
   I also think we should definitely move to a supported tomcat container,
   though whether that should actually be done under this Jira or under a
   different one is a moot point.
   
   I realise that is frustratingly vague, but it is where my thoughts are.
