apostrophe in xpath

Hi

Sometimes the user stores surnames with an apostrophe in our xml database.
If I would receive this document, I execute the following XPath statement:

/address-list/address[surname='abc'defgh']

Unfortunately it doesn't work. Could you give me a hint?

Marc
