ap_document_root() /* Don't use this! */

Is ap_document_root() supposed to be broken? How do I find out
DocumentRoot for a virtual host from within a module without having to
parse a whole <VirtualHost> directive?

PS.
I have tried to post to this list a few times, but none of my messages
went through. I'm trying from netscape now instead of mutt. (Yes, I'm
subscribed).
