[DISCUSS] Free, open-source AI tool for ApacheCon attendees & developers
Hello ApacheCon community,
I'd like to introduce Ptero.pro – a fully open-source, non-commercial AI
platform that I believe could be a valuable resource for the Apache
developer community.
What is Ptero.pro?
Ptero.pro provides free access to 20+ AI models for development tasks such
as:
Debugging and code review
Prototyping and learning
Generating boilerplate code
API interactions and testing
Key features:
100% free and open-source (code available on GitHub)
No sign-up required – anyone can use it immediately
GitHub repo attachment for context-aware assistance
Built-in code editor for seamless experimentation
Why this matters for ApacheCon & the community:
As a free, open-source tool, Ptero.pro aligns with Apache's values of
transparency and community-driven development. It can help developers:
Quickly test and prototype ideas
Learn new languages or frameworks
Get unstuck on coding problems
Explore AI-assisted development workflows
I'm reaching out to this list for two reasons:
To share a useful tool with the Apache developer community
To gather feedback on how Ptero.pro could better serve Apache projects and
contributors
If you're working on an Apache project or attending ApacheCon, I'd love to
hear your thoughts on what features would be most helpful for your work.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to any feedback
or discussion!
Best regards,
