[jira] [Created] (APLO-158) Allow connection via AJAX similar to ActiveMQs

Allow connection via AJAX similar to ActiveMQs
----------------------------------------------

                 Key: APLO-158
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/APLO-158
             Project: ActiveMQ Apollo
          Issue Type: Wish
    Affects Versions: 1.1
            Reporter: Richard Fox
            Priority: Minor

I have a couple of libraries that let Firefox,Chrome and any browser with flashplayer connect using the web socket connector, However may still have some clients that have browsers that support none of the above. Would it be possible to implement something similar to: http://activemq.apache.org/ajax.html

I'm aware this wouldnt be reliable with older clients its more that they get the data rather than not having it.

Thanks :)

Hiram Chirino commented on APLO-158:
------------------------------------

STOMP over websockets has been supported since the 1.1 release. Most modern browsers support WebSockets, should we even take the time to implement AJAX interface?

Richard Fox commented on APLO-158:
----------------------------------

Although i agree its something old and that modern browsers do not need the support for mobile devices is rather lacking:

http://caniuse.com/#feat=websockets

Other stuff is more important though.
