IDE
[ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NETBEANS-615?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=16436849#comment-16436849 ]
Jan Lahoda commented on NETBEANS-615:
-------------------------------------
I assume this was while running without nb-javac. Compile on save unfortunately requires nb-javac. The IDE should say so, not just crash on run.

> Project: NetBeans
> Issue Type: Bug
> Affects Versions: 9.0

> I created the following class:
> {code:java}
> public static void main(String[] args) {
>
> System.out.println("java version: " + System.getProperty("java.version"));
> }
> {code}
> It compiles correctly and I can execute it from coammand line with *java*.
> If I try to run it from the ide a new .class file is generated which contains RuntimeException as the first line.
> I double checked the configuration and found nothing wrong.
