[jira] Created: (BUILDR-388) Continuous Compilation Support for Sub-Projects

Continuous Compilation Support for Sub-Projects
-----------------------------------------------

                 Key: BUILDR-388
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/BUILDR-388
             Project: Buildr
          Issue Type: Improvement
            Reporter: Daniel Spiewak
            Priority: Critical
             Fix For: 1.4

The continuous compilation support currently in trunk/ does not appear to gracefully handle sub-projects. We should handle this case, or at the very least degrade gracefully if we detect a failure.

Daniel Spiewak commented on BUILDR-388:
---------------------------------------

Does it actually work to make :cc a recursive task? I would have expected this would cause issues with monitoring and with compilation, but if it works fine on your local system, go ahead and commit!

[jira] Updated: (BUILDR-388) Continuous Compilation Support for Sub-Projects

Antoine Toulme updated BUILDR-388:
----------------------------------

    Attachment: BUILDR-388.txt

Daniel, I worked on this and it looks I figured out all the problems - I had to redo the specs quite a bit as mocking compile had side effects.

I am attaching my results here, please feel free to review - and rework, or refuse - the patch.

Thanks!

---------------------------------------

Daniel, it works for me, and if I call the cc task on the container, the child project is also running cc.

Note most of my changes occurred on the spec rather than on the code.
