Problems with saving files

Dear Sir/Madam,


Please would it be possible to help. I have been experiencing problems when trying to save documents. When I try to open them I am asked what I want to open it with. This is despite saving it either as word document or .odt document. Thanks in anticipation of your help.

i had free time now and checked the messages.
sorry for the delay.
open openoffice, tools, options, load-save, general and press space
botton to unchek this option.
Warn when not saving in ODF or default format
