   Since it says 'caching' I was thinking that the [TRANSIENT ExtensionState](https://github.com/apache/sling-org-apache-sling-feature/blob/master/src/main/java/org/apache/sling/feature/ExtensionState.java#L24) would be useful here, but it looks like the JSON format doesn't support this yet?
