How do i install Lucene

Hello Friends
                  I am new in this mailing list and Lucene can some one please guide me to a step by step installation of Lucene . I have Tomcat 4 running on Windows Advanced Server.also are there othe dependencies that i need tto download to run Lucene?

Hello,

Try the README.txt from http://cvs.apache.org/viewcvs/jakarta-lucene/

If something doesn't work as described in the README please let us
know.
