Chainsaw and MDC

Hi,
 
I am currently using Chainsaw and the MDC. Unfortunately I did not figure
out how to see the MDC inside Chainsaw.
 
I could eventually extend the SocketAppender so that it wraps the MDC inside
the NDC or the message or even accept a PatternLayout, but there are
probably other ways. Any info on this will be greatly appreciated?
