[jira] [Created] (DERBY-6460) Allow subqueries in the WHEN [ NOT ]
MATCHED clauses of MERGE statements.
Rick Hillegas created DERBY-6460:
------------------------------------
Summary: Allow subqueries in the WHEN [ NOT ] MATCHED clauses of MERGE statements.
Key: DERBY-6460
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DERBY-6460
Project: Derby
Issue Type: Improvement
Components: SQL
Affects Versions: 10.11.0.0
Reporter: Rick Hillegas
Priority: Minor
The SQL Standard allows subqueries in the WHEN [ NOT ] MATCHED clauses of MERGE statements. However, Derby doesn't, for reasons explained by a 2014-01-24 comment on DERBY-3155. It would be good to lift this limitation.
