mod_rewrite, module loading, and rewrite logging?
I am trying to use mod_rewrite but it does not seem to be working (though
this is likely because I don't know what I'm doing). Is there a way to find
out which modules Apache is loading? (so I can know if mod_rewrite.so is
even enabled - I is definitely uncommented in httpd.conf) Will mod_rewrite
log both the inital GET and the rewritten GET (or is there a way to force it
to show what it is doing)?
This is the contents of the .htaccess file at my web root, using Apache
2.0.35 on Win2000.
RewriteEngine on
RewriteRule !\.(gif|jpg|png|css)$ /index.php
I am hoping this will direct all request except gif/jpg/png/css to
/index.php (and I am assuming this means ALL requests, regardless of the URL
given to the browser). But, if I type something like http://mysite.com/test/
(there is no directory named test), I get a 404 error. So, I figure I'm not
understanding mod_rewrite.
Looking for a little guidance.
thx
andy
