[DISCUSS] move healthcheck under bundles/extensions and release as 0.9.0

Hi,

I'm done with the SLING-2987 redesign of the healthcheck modules.

WDYT about moving it under bundles/extensions instead of contrib? Yes
I intend to maintain it ;-)

And I think we can also release it as a first version, as V0.9.0 to
indicate that it's still brand new.

For more info, docs are at

  http://sling.apache.org/documentation/bundles/sling-health-check-tool.html

And the API is at

  http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/sling/trunk/contrib/extensions/healthcheck/api/src/main/java/org/apache/sling/hc/api/

+1 for releasing it as 1.0.0 as the API seems tob e pretty stable.

Best regards

Hi,

I don't feel very strong for moving, but I'm not against it :)
I think we can directly go with 1.0.0 release, at least for the modules
who expose API.
I'm +1 for releasing core and jmx and have no opinion about the others
right now :)

Hi,

Coming back to this, is anyone opposed to

a) moving the contrib/extensions/healthcheck module under
bundles/extensions/healthcheck ?

b) releasing those modules as V0.9.0 ?

I'm presenting the tool at adaptTo next week, would be nice to have a
first release.

I'm resyncing the docs at
http://sling.apache.org/documentation/bundles/sling-health-check-tool.html
now to be consistent with the recent changes.

Works for me if you need some more time.

I'll be mostly offline for the next two weeks after this one, but we
can also release later, or someone else can do it.

I'm not against this in general, I think it would be good to give us a
little bit of time to have a look at the latest state before having a
release.

So maybe targeting next week for a move/release might be good
