[jira] [Commented] (OLINGO-969) Can a PUT be configured to return
the updated object in response?
[ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OLINGO-969?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=15332570#comment-15332570 ]
Michael Bolz commented on OLINGO-969:
-------------------------------------
Hi [~prilling],
Unfortunately the Olingo V2 is based on the OData V2 specification which defines in section "2.2.7.3.1 UpdateEntity Request]":
{quote}
...
If the UpdateEntity Request was successful, the response MUST have a 204 status code, as specified in \[RFC2616\], and have 0 bytes in the response body.
...
{quote}
Hence it can not be configured to return the updated object.
Best Regards, Michael

> We are using a client library that is expecting response content for a PUT. I know odata says that content is optional, but I just want to see if there is something I can set in olingo to make our client library happy.
