[HELP] Categories problem and app shutting down!

Hi,

I've got a major problem that I can't seem to sort out.
I'm logging from some classes, main being in class a.b.c.x.E, one thread
being in class a.b.c.y.F and another thread being in class a.b.c.z.G.
when I run, I get complaints about appenders not being found, but i've
specified appenders for a.b.c.x, a.b.c.y and a.b.c.z, and then after a while
the app just randomly stops (which it doesn't do if I take the logging
out!!)

has any one experienced this before?
