[jira] [Created] (SOLR-8187) Show how much Physical RAM is
available for application use on the admin UI.
Mark Miller created SOLR-8187:
---------------------------------
Summary: Show how much Physical RAM is available for application use on the admin UI.
Key: SOLR-8187
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-8187
Project: Solr
Issue Type: Improvement
Components: web gui
Reporter: Mark Miller
Priority: Minor
The admin UI is a bit misleading when showing used physical memory as it includes things like the OS filesystem cache. This is nice to see, but it's just confusing if you cannot also see how much physical RAM is actually available (at the expense of the fs cache).
I've only checked this on linux and not windows.
We should be able to surface this in the system stats.
