I completely disagree.

WHAT?! Are you kidding?!

You are saying that /branches/1.1 is less important than /trunk? Is
that really want you mean to say? That is in fact what you did say,
so unless it is not what you meant I suggest you reword your statement.

Again. Have the patches been applied to trunk? Unless the answer is
yes, I think it should be re-opened and wait until it goes there.
Branches are of less importance to (more experienced) end users who
usually don't build Geronimo from.

-----------------------------------

    Attachment: m2-jetty-server.patch

Using prasad's assembly plugin that I believe he is attaching to this issue, and trunk as of rev 419642, I got a jetty server with 13 modules to build using this patch, and it starts!. Many of the changes such as fixing the openejb groupId may be duplicated in other patches.

In light of the above discussion and the upcoming changes to the configstore and repository in 1.1, it would be best to revisit this issue once those changes have stabilised.

I would like to move on to migrating the applications next.

I agree about the additions to my patch. Just to be clear, my patch is informative work in progress, it should not be committed at this point because it does not start a lot of the configs since they aren't available yet for the m2 server.

Prasad Kashyap resolved GERONIMO-1737.
--------------------------------------

    Fix Version/s: 1.2
       Resolution: Fixed

This JIRA introduces a new geronimo-assembly-plugin for M2 and migrates the Jetty J2EE assembly to build a binary distro in M2.

Separate JIRAs will be opened for Tomcat J2EE and other minimal assemblies.

Sweet! I've love to see how this jives with GERONIMO-2161. Hopefully we'll get the remaining vote so I can commit this.

Depending on the number of conflicts post-commit we may want to recraft this patch when GERONIMO-2161 has been applied. But we'll see.
