First Amber release
Hi all,
I think we all see growing interest in OAuth 2.0/Openid Connect as both
specifications are going to be finalized soon.
Current implementation of OAuth 2.0 is quite stable and implements draft 10,
so maybe it would be good idea to make an
official release, before we start upgrading it to the newer drafts/final
spec.
WDYT? I have no experience how releasing in ASF works so help would be much
appreciated.
Would it be possible to add me as an administrator to the Amber Jira? I
would update a structure of the project e.g. versions, components, etc.
Cheers,
Lukasz Moren

Could please somebody take care of this step when code is ready? Would be
good to see it done by somebody experienced in this area.

[1] contains OAuth 2.0 tutorials for client, authorization and resource
server. IMHO is clear and enough for starting point.

There is a demo webapp that uses Amber and acts as an OAuth 2.0 client. It
connects with Facebook and GitHub.

I think before release we have to clean up code a bit. I will start new
thread on that.

As the first release for Amber, I would like to see the following:
* Practicing the release process following Apache rules (IP, voting, distribution, signing, etc)
* Basic tutorial on how to use the software
* Provide binary and source distribution with good samples
* Publish the artifacts into maven repo
Thanks,
Raymond

I think it would be useful to discuss process and a practical plan, on
list, before we make an attempt. The work required could be led by one
person with assistance provided by others where needed.
Are we aiming to put jars into a/the maven repo?
What else do we need to do?
What else would it be nice to do?
