[jira] [Commented] (QPID-3351) Provide ability to specify the network interface qpidd should bind to

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/QPID-3351?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13547322#comment-13547322 ]

Andrew Stitcher commented on QPID-3351:
---------------------------------------

A new broker option has been introduced which stops the broker listening on all interfaces and restricts the broker to listen on only those specified interfaces.

The new broker option is --interface. This can appear multiple times and each of the specified interfaces will be listened to.

Interfaces can be specified either by using its name or by using an address that is bound to that interface.

> Currently, qpidd binds to all network interfaces, which may not be desirable. It would be nice to be able to specify the interface or interfaces to listen on.
