[users@httpd] apachectl error
Apache has been running fine for months. I decided to do a "apachectl
restart" and I got an error:
COLOSSUS% apachectl restart
apachectl restart: httpd not running, trying to start
apachectl restart: httpd started
I check the error_log and I am getting the message:
[Sun Apr 13 23:49:35 2003] [crit] (13)Permission denied: make_sock: could
not bind to port 80
Any ideas?
Thanks

You are absolutely correct. Thanks for the quick response. I had a server
crash over the weekend and was reloading everything. I guess I was just
burnt out. I should have realized with the "permission denied" in the error
log. Interesting that I would be able to run the apachectl command from a
user prompt though.
