Questions go in the user list, use Bugzilla for complete examples

I want to repeat this very strongly:

It is far, far better to ask questions on the user list. With 150 open
bugs for POI - we want these to be true Bugs, Request For Enhancement,
and Patch submissions. What we do not want is for Questions to be
frequently asked via bugzilla.

nabble is one good place to research a question to see if it has
already been asked or answered.

Developers do lurk on the user list - most questions are answered
rather quickly - often by other users.

Help out your POI developers by carefully reviewing any bugzilla
entries that you submit. When you write a bug report, please try to
provide sample code and an example document that proves the problem.
Clearly state which version you were using. When reports include this
necessary information they get solved much faster. A complete report
makes it easier for a busy POI developer to consider if they have
enough time to fix the bug. When the bug is solved this sample file
will likely become part of a unit test to make sure the fix is not
broken by future changes. A careful bug report is well worth the effort.

Please ask questions on the user list. Unless you need to be on a
specific POI version please try the latest nightly build. Be careful
that you know that the correct version of POI is in your classpath,
that you have removed older versions.

There have been a lot of adjustments and bug fixes recently -
particularly for XSSF / SpreadsheetML, but there have been a number of
fixes to HSSF as well.

POI-3.5beta5 is in the voting process and POI-3.5 FINAL is on the
agenda. We do want to incorporate as many fixes as we can - in the
last two months since POI-3.5beta4 some 50 open bugs were cleared in
one way or another.

Thanks.

Regards,
Dave
