[jira] Created: (GERONIMO-1872) Two meanings of META-INF/geronimo-service.xml

Two meanings of META-INF/geronimo-service.xml
---------------------------------------------

         Key: GERONIMO-1872
         URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/GERONIMO-1872
     Project: Geronimo
        Type: Bug
    Security: public (Regular issues)
  Components: deployment
    Versions: 1.1
    Reporter: David Jencks
 Assigned to: David Jencks
     Fix For: 1.1

The original meaning of geronimo-service.xml files is a list of dependencies for a jar. Recently a new meaning, of an embedded gbean plan, has been added. This different uses should have separate names. Suggestion is to rename the list of dependencies "geronimo-dependency.xml"
