Rishmay,
My best bet is that compared to the speed of the appserver logic its self, nothing you do with SSL is going to make any difference to performance. SSL is pretty fast nowdays (even the java implementation) - and er - weblogic is not well known as a speed king!

It is preventing me from executing just 2 steps of 10. Can I rectify the
problem in weblogic somehow?
I remember I can tell weblogic in the start up script to ignore
certificates but will that have any impact on my perf results?

Normally you will not have to use a certificate unless you are
authenticating JMeter to weblogic. For most HTTPS the server (weblogic
here) has a cert' and uses that to certify its self to the client
(JMeter). The client does not require a cert'. Sometimes - in very high
security systems - the client requires a cert' - the last time I came
across this was 7 years ago!
OK - the error you are getting might be because of the way weblogic is
running SSL. SSL is an encryption scheme on top of TPC (in this case).
If the server shuts down the TCP carrier before the SSL layer has been
informed that it is shutting down, then this error (or ones like it) can
occur. This is a fairly normal implementation issue with SSL. Unless
it is stopping your stuff from working at all, you can probably get away
with ignoring it ;-)

Hi Guys,
I am new to SSL and HTTPS and don't really understand how they work. I
am having trouble running my script on a HTTPS env. Our web server is
weblogic 8.1 SP4 and I was thinking that the reason for "SSL peer
shutdown incorrectly" could be around certificates.
Question: How do I setup JMeter to use certificates? I obtained the
cacerts, *.der and *.crt files from weblogic. Do I need them?
