Has v2.2.1 of Maven Assembly Plugin introduced a regression of bug MASSEMBLY-416 ?

Hello there,

I am a newbie maven user, looking at http://svn.apache.org/viewvc/maven/plugins/tags/maven-assembly-plugin-2.2.1/src/main/resources/assemblies/jar-with-dependencies.xml?view=log .
It looks like revision 1000938 has reverted the fix for MASSEMBLY-416 (revision 783036). Is it intentional ?

We manually tried both versions, and found revision 783036 to work better for us (fixes bug MASSEMBLY-416).
