### Question
Hi,
I am using Iceberg merge-on-read property for merges. I see position delete value in the metadata and each run this value grows. After I rewrite the data files the position deletes stays the same.
I thought rewriting the data files would fix positional deletes and the value would go down. Am I running the correct procedure? Or will this value not reflect the current number of positional deletes occurring on reads?

I found the issue, when I use binpack with option 'rewrite-all' it works, is this not available in sort?
