build error preventing build of AIX on 2.4.x
I do not want to hijack anyone's thread, so a quick update on the build
status of 2.4.X before Xmas (and AIX).
httpd-2.4.3 (still) builds.

The error is in building the support tools (ab fails). Maybe a new export
file is needed? I do not know how to make one :(

If anyone has a suggestion (and/or lesson) I'll try and work on it this
weekend, otherwise on Monday.

Rainer -- I have a similar AIX issue that I think may be up your
autoconf alley.
AFAICT, AIX bi-arch for open source is not so robust. SSL for example ships as
/opt/freeware/lib/libssl.so
/opt/freeware/lib64/libssl.so
/opt/freeware/include/openssl/*.h
* pkg-config sets up -L for /opt/freeware/lib
* There is a pkg-config_64 that doesn't even know about the openssl-devel pkg.
Can you enhance acinclude.m4/configure.in/??? to allow e.g.
--with-ssl-libs=/opt/freeware/lib64/
And combine it with the pkg-config output if it was found?

I shall check ssl, but in the past ssl has always worked, only recently
have i been getting build messages from the build.
I'll add my build to http://dl.aixtools.net/test - maybe you can test more
quickly.
Note: files are installed to /opt and /var. I am choosing not to use /etc
so all root installation files can be in a single filesystem.

My system is also very slow, so every permutation and build tweak
takes forever to give any feedback.

Seems I was naughty - and had forgot that I needed to do a new buildconf
after a svn get.
Not sure about a warning message to add --with-crypto to the configure
command.
