Diff for DIRSERVER-758

Here is a diff of my last modifications. I didn't committed them because
it's really huge, and I want to discuss it before committing or reverting
the already comitted code.

There are many points which are to be discussed, I will gather all of them
in one hour (leaving office right now).

The 1.0-trunks does not build without this diff, and even then, I had to
comment three integration tests to make maven happy.

More to come really soon.
