I try to  work on a file with photos on and  the  writer crashes and send me
through the document recovery  screens.
i will attach the document i was working on to see if you have the same problem

it also does it with  other documents it seems  basically your update has
stopped  it from working causing it to crash and making it useless. I'm using
google docs now but i don't what to if you can release a patch to make it work
again  i'll come back.

If you work with large documents, you should not keep pictures inside the
document. But better use the "link" option:

Other solution: you can use Pixcompress to reduce images size in your document
http://extensions.openoffice.org/en/project/pixcompress
