It would be useful to have a property that enables switching on and off building the C bindings. This would enable other developers to continue working if there are build problems with the C bindings.

     Resolution: Fixed

This function has recently been added.

The property buildCBindings needs to exist for the C bindings to be generated, built and packaged.
This has currently been defaulted to NOT take place.
