   Its the same problem.  The default settings didn't create persistent storage for the couchdb, so the database contents was lost on reboot.
   
   I'm looking at enabling persistence by default in the chart.  I have it working for docker-for-mac and was able to reboot the host machine and have openwhisk come back up in working condition.  I need to work through all the other kube options to make sure that defaulting to enabling persistence isn't too disruptive.   I hope to submit a PR either later today or tomorrow.
