NoClassDefFoundError and HADOOPSITEPATH
I had a working install of Pig but I get the following when attempting
$ bin/pig
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:
org/apache/commons/logging/LogFactory
at org.apache.pig.Main.<clinit>(Main.java:47)
At revision 639457.
this is on Ubuntu with Java 1.6
also, what has happened to HADOOPSITEPATH? How do I specify the location of
that file as described here: http://wiki.apache.org/pig/GettingStarted
thank you

So it looks like the commons logging jar is not in your classpath.
Can you check if this is the case? Which pig jar is distributed to
your hadoop nodes?
Thanks.

Hi,
I will look into this and get back to you. Did you used latest trunk?
