[em-center-gateway] Process of EMC Portal
Hi Team,
Let me start off this thread to discuss the process of EMC portal. From the
discussion we had last week, our direction of storage was changed from mft
to airavata-django-portal. Below, I tried to illustrate how the django
portal could be used for the requirements of EMC with the use of mft for
file transfers.
1) There’s a set of microscopes assigned to a user called “emc-admin” and
he has a user storage as below.

2) When a researcher (“kate”) comes to one of the microscopes (“ms-2”) and
does some experiments, the pictures captures are stored to the “emc-admin”
user’s storage.

3) Then the “emc-admin” logs into the portal and transfers the files to the
recipients. The process of transferring might be able to automate as well
(As discussed before)

4) Now, the experiment files are available to the researcher (“kate”). She
could share them with other (groups, users etc.)
Thanks & Regards,
Dinuka

At this point, it's required to keep watching for changes of the files
coming from the microscopes and do the transfer accordingly.
