Object pooling setup in Tomcat

Hey,

I'm really a newbie in Tomcat tech. or Java for that 
matter :)

I know that Tomcat support database connection pooling, 
and I think I can set it up my self by looking at sample 
on the manual.

But, what if I also wants to make a Generic Object 
pooling, say TCP/IP connection with other protocol on top 
of it (like Telnet). How do I set it up ? Where do I put 
the object class and the factory ?
