shtml files with tomcat

Hi!
Can you write server side include files with tomcat as you can do with
Java web Server.
If so ¿How do you tell the server that a file with extension .shtml is a

html file with a server side include?
With Java Web server you set it setting the alias entry for *.shtml but
I don't know how to set  aliases in tomcat
