[jira] [Created] (AMBARI-7788) Nagios password can be changed on the UI, but it's not reflected in Nagios Web itself (the password never updates)

Andrew Onischuk created AMBARI-7788:
---------------------------------------

             Summary: Nagios password can be changed on the UI, but it's not reflected in Nagios Web itself (the password never updates)
                 Key: AMBARI-7788
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMBARI-7788
             Project: Ambari
          Issue Type: Bug
            Reporter: Andrew Onischuk
            Assignee: Andrew Onischuk
             Fix For: 1.7.0

STR:

  * Deploy cluster with Nagios
  * Go to Services > Nagios > Configs
  * Change the password
  * Restart Nagios
  * Go to Services > Nagios > QuickLinks to access Nagios Web
  * You cannot log in with the new password (the original password still works).

Analysis:
Ambari is not updating /etc/nagios/htpasswd.users file when Nagios is
restarted.

Workaround:
If the user forgot the original password, then the password must be manually
reset on the host where Nagios resides.

    htpasswd /etc/nagios/htpasswd.users <nagios-admin-username> <new-password>
