@aawsome I pull requested CI for that repository in https://github.com/AspectUnk/russh-sftp/pull/22 but I do think that there are some tests missing in there. It looks like it's on the plate though, from the readme.

By the way, I'm agree with [jonhoo](https://github.com/jonhoo)'s comment that this feature doesn't make sense and less secure.
I prefer to close this feature request and remove the comment inside sftp too.

I just found the crate `russh-sftp` and found it quite promising: https://github.com/AspectUnk/russh-sftp/blob/master/examples/client.rs
(but AFAIU this is beta and waits to be released...)

We use opendal in [rustic](https://github.com/rustic-rs/rustic) (thank you very much for your great project!!) to support remote storage providers.
I wanted to mention that there are providers around which give an sftp access only to be used with a password. While I agree that adding this feature could introduce some insecurities, not having it implies for us that rustic users cannot use some storage providers. So I would really like to see it implemented, maybe gated by an extra feature?

There's a PR https://github.com/openssh-rust/openssh/pull/129 but the author doesn't have time to continue it.

I'm not sure, they don't seem to have checked their unit tests and workflows on the TODO list in the main readme still. Also https://github.com/AspectUnk/russh-sftp/pull/22 has not been had a look at in the last year. I probably would not be using this at this state.

I need to access remote servers in batches (through passwords, because the key is very inflexible), and I need to access remote servers through SSH access machines. In my opinion, using the automatic method to manage server resources has similar key and password security, but the password method can bring very high flexibility (using the key may increase my code amount by ten times)
In addition, I used rush (openssh is not suitable for my scenario)
