Apache Lenya ist ein Java- und XML-basiertes Open Source Content Management System. Es bietet Versionierung, Website Management, zeitgesteuertes Publizieren, eine integrierte Suchfunktion, WYSIWYG-Editoren und Workflow.

Apache Lenya basiert auf <a href="http://cocoon.apache.org">Apache Cocoon</a>. Alle Features von Cocoon, z.B. das robuste Caching, Multi-Channel-Output und vielfältige Connectivity-Optionen können genutzt werden, um spezifische Anforderungen zu realisieren, die von Apache Lenya heute noch nicht abgedeckt werden.
