Finally found the root of the problem.
My application uses spring module RepositoryFactoryBean instead of standard jackrabbit RepositoryImpl bean.
The spring RepositoryFactoryBean bean igoneres the maxIdleTime  parameter.
Do you have any solution to overcome this?
