[Issue 126284] New: Unable to get into the main start-up screen.

https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=126284

          Issue ID: 126284
        Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: Unable to get into the main start-up screen.
           Product: General
           Version: 4.0.0
          Hardware: Mac
                OS: Mac OSX, 10.9
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: critical
          Priority: P5
         Component: accessibility
          Assignee: issues@openoffice.apache.org
          Reporter: johndiv1ster@gmail.com

Upon clicking on the Open Office icon, the main page of Open Office appears
immediately followed by a display of the following message:

"The last time you opened OpenOffice.org it unexpectedly quit while re-opening
windows. Do you want to try to re-open its windows again?"

No matter how we respond to the buttons below the above message, the message
stays there. We are unable to do anything except to force a "Quit Application"
option from the OS file drop down menus.

We have a rather database in this application of just under a thousand entries,
along with data entry forms and a variety of reports.

At this point, the same thing happens every time we click on the OpenOffice
icon on the desktop.

What needs to be done to save this application with all its data, forms and
report?

please Help.

The behavior described is not typical and AOO works without problem for many
users under MacOS.

AOO 4.0.0 is an obsolete version. We encourage you to retest your bug against
the latest release. Same thing for MacOS, you should upgrade it to 10.10.

Please report back the outcome of your testing, so this Issue may be closed or
progressed as necessary - otherwise the issue may be Resolved as Invalid in the
future.
